Steph Guidera is a painter from in Minneapolis. Interested in humanity navigating this modern world and drawn to historic representational art, her work explores that space between tradition and evolution. The work is figurative, and while rooted in reality, includes elements of the unseen and uncomfortable. Focused on the technical process and potential communication with viewers, the desire to transform thought and evoke emotion drives the content and design of her pieces. She has exhibited locally and abroad and studied at Concordia University, St. Paul (BA, 2008).
Steph is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in Art Conservation at the Patricia H. & Richard E. Garman Art Conservation Department, State University of New York at Buffalo State.
